Humanism is not a set of doctrines - it is an attitude to life, centred on mankind and human interests.
This life is the only one we know and it is important to make it a good one. It is possible to live a morally good life without faith in the supernatural, to make the best possible use of our lives, to make world a better place to live in, now and for future generations too
We are a small, friendly Group holding monthly meetings at 7.45pm, on the third Sunday in the month, in members' homes. Non-members are welcome. Our topics range through politics, ethics, philosophy, local, national and international affairs and social issues from a humanist and secular perspective.
We also have lighter topics and enjoyable social events such as a summer pub lunch and a Winter Solstice party.
The programme of meetings for next six months can be obtained by clicking on the link above. For further information please email margaret.aitchison@ukonline.co.uk]
Newsletters are published every two months and can be viewed by clicking the link above.
